Aardwolf Update 13Nov04

- A major behind the scenes change has been made in the mud such that it now runs twice as fast. What this means is that the entire mud loops 8 times per second instead of 4. Main things you will notice from this is that players with a good link will get a much crisper, faster response when entering commands and moving will be quicker - particularly speedwalking. Spellups using spellup2 will also be much faster when most of your spells succeed.

- A new command has been added called 'tpenchant' to allow players to spend two tps to enchant their own weapons without having to wait for an imm. Standard rules are enforced ... item cannot be enchanted to have hr or dr higher than level/2, other than lower level items which can have up to 10hr/10dr. Please be careful when using this to make sure that you target the right item as refunds will not be given.

The syntax is simply:

tpenchant [weapon in inventory]


The enchant that is given is the equivalent of an imm with 500 in all stats casting the spell.


- Percent practiced is now much more important for both disarm and strangle.

- Awareness will now improve on success - slowly. (Eclaboussure)

- The level of damage protection a player gets from wearing a shield has been increased to around 15%.

- Globe is now castable by Psionicists at level 126 and is part of the noble psi group.

- The following 3 new healing spells have been added in the Cleric "healing" group. None are useable from objects. All are useable in combat, but cost more mana:

Renew - Level 108. Useable on both self and others.
Healing Touch - Level 136. Useable on others only. First class cleric only.
Restore Life - Level 164. Useable on self and others. Reduced heal amount when used on others.



- Born warriors (first class) now have a slightly higher chance of landing a death blow than a remort warrior.
